Removing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

Prerequisites

About this task
NOTE:
Depending on the configuration ordered, your computer may support an M.2 2230 solid-state drive or an M.2 2280
solid-state drive.
NOTE:
This procedure applies only to computers shipped with an M.2 2230 solid-state drive.
The following images indicate the location of the M.2 2230 solid-state drive and provide a visual representation of the removal
procedure.

Steps
1. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the M.2 solid-state drive shield to the system board.
2. Slide the M.2 solid-state drive shield off the system board.
3. Slide the M.2 2230 solid-state drive out of the solid-state drive slot.

Installing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
