626 Maintenance and care

Leather is a natural product. It exhibits natural
surface properties, such as differences in
structure, marks caused by growth and injury
or subtle colour differences. These surface
properties are special features of leather and
not material defects. Furthermore, leather is
subject to a natural ageing process in which
the surface properties change.
Genuine leather seat covers
Vacuum up dirt such as crumbs or dust and

then clean the seat covers with a damp cotton
cloth and wipe down with a dry cloth. Regu-
larly clean the seat covers.
For heavy soiling: use a leather care agent rec-

ommended for Mercedes-Benz aftercare.

Regular cleaning and care of the leather

span. Clothing that can leave stains (e.g.
jeans) may discolour the leather.
