Chapter 2 Preparations
13. Install the additional fan units provided with heat sink. Remove three dummy covers from the slots where
you are going to install additional fan units.
14. Install three fan units in fan cage, and connect the fan cable with connector on motherboard.
15. Continue to install or remove internal optional devices, mount and connect the server, and turn it on.
16. Run BIOS Setup Utility (SETUP) to confirm the following settings. Refer to Chapter 2 (1. System BIOS) in
"Maintenance Guide".

Replacement / Removal

To remove processor (CPU), reverse the installation procedure.

Important
Do not remove any processor unless it is failed.
To remove the heat sink from the processor, first turn the heat sink to the left
and right lightly to make sure that the heat sink can be apart from the
processor. Removing the heat sink with it adhering to the processor may cause
the processor and/or CPU socket to be defected.
