13. Insert the riser card into the slot on
motherboard.
When connecting the card, position
the terminal part of the card to the slot
on the motherboard and insert it.
14. Secure the card with two screws you removed in Step 7. Secure the RAID Controller bracket with a single
screw you have removed in Step 8.
15. Attach the duct which FBU is installed.
Important
Do not touch the terminal part of riser cards or RAID Controller and the
signal pins of electric parts installed on the card. Installing cards with dirt or
oil can cause malfunction.
• Make sure that the head of RAID Controller bracket is seated into the fixed slot.
Note
• If you have trouble installing the RAID Controller, remove the card once and try
again. If you apply excessive pressure on the card, RAID Controller or riser card
might break.
Important
When installing RAID Controller, be careful that cables (e.g., FBU control
cable and internal SAS/SATA cables) are not caught with the support bar. If
they are caught with support bar, RAID Controller might be damaged.
