To connect a satellite receiver or cable box with a
21-pin scart connector
Connect the VCR and the satellite receiver or cable box with an optional
21-pin scart cable.
Set CATV/SAT to AV2 in the SYSTEM menu (see page 33) after you tune
your TV to the VCR (page 7).

If your satellite receiver or cable box has more than two scart connectors, use the
VIDEO output to connect to the VCR and not the VCR output. Otherwise you may not
receive a proper picture.
To connect to a stereo system
This connection improves the sound quality.
Connect AUDIO OUT on the VCR to the audio input jacks on the stereo
system with the supplied audio cable.
