Setting the timer with VIDEO Plus+
You can greatly simplify timer recordings with VIDEO Plus+. Just enter the
PlusCode, a number assigned to each TV programme, and the VCR will set
the timer recording automatically. You can find PlusCodes in most TV guide
magazines.
You can set up to six programmes.
Before setting the timer
as Check that the VCR clock is set correctly.
¢ Check that the correct channel number is assigned to the right TV station (see
page 8).
¢ Insert a cassette with its erasure prevention tab in place. Make sure the tape is
longer than the recording time.
* Turn on the TV and set it for VCR reception.
¢ To set the timer for a satellite or cable TV channel, check that the satellite (or
cable) receiver is turned on and the channel you want to record is selected.
1 Press VIDEO PLUS+.
If the timer programme list is displayed and
"FULL" appears at the top of the TV screen,
the timer programmes are fully set. To seta
new programme, select PROGRAMME
TIMER in the MENU, then press A/¥W to
move the cursor ( & ) to the unnecessary
programme, and press CLEAR to cancel.

* If you want to exit while setting a
programme, press VIDEO PLUS+
again.

¢ Even ifthe power supply is interrupted,
the preset programmes remains in the
VCR memory. The VCR will select and
restore only the active programmes in
the memory automatically.
¢ VIDEO Plus+ will add a safety margin
to the set recording time. The VCR will
begin recording two minutes before,
and continue recording for three
minutes after the set recording time
except when PDC is on or another
timer recording overlaps the safety

appears on the TV screen:
