Description of the oven heating systems
Roof and floor heating
With this conventional method of heat¬
ing, radiant heat is directed on to the
food from above and below.
It is usually necessary to pre-heat the
oven in this mode.
Roof and floor beating is good for all
types of cooking and particularly for
baking.
Roof heating
Heat from the lop element can be
used to brown dishes, or finish dishes
with, a cheese topping etc.
Floor heating
Use this setting towards the end of
baking if you wish to brown lhe base
of the cake.
