Set the mode dial to [O ].
Remove the lens cover.
Press the <DISP> button.
The LCD monitor display goes on.
Hold the camera firmly in both
hands.
To prevent camera shake, hold the camera
in both hands and brace your elbows
against your sides.
Ensure that the lens and flash are not
obscured by your hands or the hand strap.

Look at the image on the LCD
monitor to compose the picture.
A live video image (the image shown before
you take the picture) as seen through the
lens is shown on the LCD monitor.
Position the LCD monitor so that you are
looking directly at the image.
