Open the SmartMedia cover.

Slide the SmartMedia cover release knob in

the direction of the arrow to open the cover.

Insert the SmartMedia.

Slide the SmartMedia in slowly so that the

contact area (gold portion) faces the gold

line on the SmartMedia holder (towards the

front of the camera) and push the Smart-

Media in fully.

Note

Close the SmartMedia cover.

Switch the camera on.

Slide the POWER

switch in the direction of

the arrow and then release it. The viewfinder

LED will turn green.

- If the "CARD NOT INITIALIZED" message appears on the LCD monitor,

format the SmartMedia. (=P.55)

[ O ], the lens automatically extends forward.

+ Because the lens moves forward, take care not to press the lens when

you switch the camera on.
