fire, electric shock or injury to persons, read the follow-
ing important safety precautions and information
before operating the CROSS WALK.
1. Place the CROSS WALK on a level surface, with at
least 8 feet of clearance behind the treadmill. Do
not place the CROSS WALK near water, outdoors
or on a surface that blocks any air openings. Do
nat operate the treadmill where aerosol products
am used or where Oxygen is being administered.
2. To connectthe power cord (see PLUGGING IN THE
POWER CORD on I_ge 6), plug the power cord
direc_y into a grounded circuit capable of carrying
12 or mere amps. No othor appliance should be on
the some circuit. Keep Ibe power cord away h'om
heated surfaces. If an extension cord is needed,
use only a 14-gauge general-purpose cord of five
feet or less in Iongth, with a threa-wlre €oadudor.
3. Never move the walking belt while Ibe power is
turned off. Do not operate the treadmill if the
power card or plug is damaged, or if Ibe CROSS
WALK is nat working properly. (See BEFOREYOU
BEGIN on page 4 if one of these conditionsexists.)
4. Wear appropriate clothing when excising.
Never
wear loose clothing Ihat could become caught in
the CROSS WALK. A/ways wear ath/etic shoes;
never use the CROSS WALK with bare feet, wear.
ing only stockingsor in sandals. Athletic support
clothesare recommended for both men and
women.
5. Never start the CROSS WALK while you are stand-
ing on the walking belt. Always hold _m upper
body arms while exercising on lbe CROSS WALK.
6. To reduce the possibility of the CROSS WALK over-
heating, never operate the CROSSWALK continu-
ously for longer than 1 hour.
7. The CROSS WALKshouldbe usedonly by parsons
weighing250 pounds or less.Never allowmore
than one personon the CROSS WALKat a time.
8. Use the CROSS WALK only as described in this
manual.
9. Keepsmallchildren away fromthe CROSS WAll( at
all tirnes.Neverleavethe CROSS WALKunalteaded
while the walkingbeltismoving.Alwaystum off the
powerwhenthe CROSS WALKis notin use.
10. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
11. TheCROSS WAU( iscapableof highspeeds.

12. Unplug the power cord before performing any of
the maintenance and adjuslment procedures
described in this manual. Never remove the metor
hood onless inslructedto do so by an authorized

formed only by an authorized seevicerepresentative.
