Connected" LED can be initiated manually or automatically. All programming parameters, including phone numbers and
location numbers, are stored in non-volatile memory. All units are phone line powered, requiring no batteries or external
power and are compatible with common Central Station Monitoring equipment.
The BLK-3-EWP provides high visibility indication of analog line status through a high pow-
ered one million candle power strobe light. The BLK-3-EWP is the ideal solution for the hear-
ing impaired and can be used equally well in loud warehouses or factories, where ringing
phones can not be heard. Alternatively, the BLK-3-EWP can be used to add emergency noti-
fication to pre-existing emergency phones by turning on the strobe light when the emergency
phone is in use.
The control module can be installed on any standard telephone line or analog PABX/KSU sta-
tion. The 1 million candle power strobe can be interfaced to flash on ringing, off-hook or a
combination of ringing and off-hook (line in-use). The LDB-3 ring/loop detect control module
is also available separately.
For incoming calls, the LSD-2 can route calls to the DEVICE 2 (PRIORITY) port using Caller ID, Distinctive Ring, or Quick
Call Back. All other calls will be routed to the DEVICE 1. Alternatively, the LSD-2 can be set up so that all inbound calls
are routed to the DEVICE 2 (PRIORITY) port.

Why pay for a dedicated line for your elevator/emergency phone or alarm panel?
The LSD-2 Line Sharing Device allows the user to share an existing phone line with
an emergency phone or other priority alarm device. This can save hundreds of dollars
a year over leasing a dedicated phone line. The LSD-2 can be used on any C.O. line
or analog PABX/KSU station.
An outbound call on the DEVICE 2 (PRIORITY) port takes priority over a call in
progress on the DEVICE 1 port. Any call in progress on the DEVICE 1 port will be dis-
connected for 2 seconds, returning dial tone to the DEVICE 2 (PRIORITY) port. A busy
signal is then sent to the DEVICE 1 port.
