Voice Announcer/Miscellaneous Options (memory location #17) The 1600A series phones have a built-in non-volatile digital voice announcer that may be used to identify the location of the emer- gency phone call. The 16 seconds of digital record time is recorded remotely from a Touch Tone phone. If a second dial tone is not detected, it then knows is not behind a PBX, so it will momentarily hang up and then directly dial Viking’s assisted programming phone number.
