Heat Hazard Warning Light
lf the catalytic converter should begin to overheat, the heat haz
ard warning Iight will come on,

What to do:
1 Reduce speed, llirrk your vehicle in a s;rfc spot where there
are no flammatrlc materials and turn thc cngine off. Wait five
minutes or more
2. Check the spark plug wire connections. ll arry of them are dis-
connected, rcconnect them properly (see page 6-25). ,,
3. lf the spark plug wires are prope/y connecteri, have your Autho-
rized Mazda Dealer locate and correct the lrouble as soon as
possible Park your vehicle until the heat hazard warning light
goes out and then drive your vehicle to a dealcr at slow speeds.
This warning light also comes on when the ignilion switch is turned
ON(ll) (to check bulb operation), and shoulrl <;o out after the en-
gine has been started.
