Proper lifting or towing procedures are
necessary to prevent damage to the vehi-
cle during any towing operation. Govern.
ment laws applicable to vehicles in tow must
be lollowed.
lf towing is necessary, we recommond you
have it done by your Mazda Dealer or a
commercial tow truck service,
lf the transmission,
rear axle and steoring
system are not damaged, the vehicle may
be towed on all four wheels. lf theee com-
ponents are damaged, use a towlng dolly.
lf towing speed will exceed 45 km/h (30
mph), or if the towing distance will exceed
15 km (10 miles), use one of three methods:
1. Place the rear wheels on a dolly.
2. Tow with the rear wheels off the ground.
3. Disconnect the propeller shaft.
lf the transmission or rear axle are inooera-
tive, tow with the rear wheels off the ground,
or have the propeller shaft disconnected.
