Operation
Oj Rotate the MEM/VFO CH knob (Gi blinks) to
select the memory channel to copy.
O Hold
for % second so that two beeps
sound. The memory channel data is now cop-
ied to MAIN VFO-A, and you are left operating
on the VFO.
Memory Checking
Before storing or recalling a memory, you will
usually want to check its contents. One memory
channel number is displayed at all times (just to
the left of the CH indicator at the right center of the
display). You can change the selected channel
number by rotating the MEM/VFO CH knob.
If you rotate this knob while receiving on the
VFO or a re-tuned memory,
blinks beneath
the channel number, and the mode and frequency
previously stored in the selected channel will be
displayed in place of the SUB VFO-B display. for
three seconds after you stop turning the knob. If
the memory is vacant,
appears above the
channel number and nothing is displayed except
two decimal points.
You can also view memories by pressing [McK],
in which case memory data is continuously dis-
played (Gi remains on and doesn't blink). You
must press
again to return the display to the
VFO.
Momentarily pressing either
or
also
activates memory
checking. As mentioned be-
fore,
blinks as the frequency and mode
indicators change to show the contents of the
last-selected memory. If you touch nothing else,
the display reverts to your current operating pa-

ing the front panel MEM/VFO CH knob before the 3
seconds expires, you can select for display each
of the general
purpose
and
PMS
memories.
Pressing these buttons
restarts the 3-second
timer, so as long as you are changing channels,
memory checking mode persists.
Note: When checking memories, both vacant
and filled memories
are displayed.
If you
would
like to skip over vacant
memories,
press
the FAST button
before
memory
checking.
