Specify an OBS Course

The unit allows manual entry of the OBS selected course in the absence of an
external CDI/HSI selected course input.

Active
Entry mode expires after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity. The unit retains the
bearing setting until you enter a new one.

Specify a selected course using the dual
concentric knob.
Exit entry mode by doing one of the following:

Selecting the Direct CRS soft key while the OBS entry field is
active sets the OBS on a direct course to the VOR station based
on the current bearing.
Push the dual concentric knob.
Allow entry mode to expire.
An arrow and value display when
the deviation & to/from indicator
exceeds 11 degrees. The indicator
parks on the side nearest to its
actual position (a partial indicator
is visible at the left or right of the
display).
