8. Assembly

8.1 Mounting the carrying handle (Fig. 8)
1.
Screw the carrying handle (20) to the machine
housing (33) with 4 Phillips screws (R) and a Phil-
lips screwdriver (not included in the scope of de-
livery). If the carrying handle does not fit over the
machine housing (33), unscrew the Phillips screws
(34) a little.

Now tighten the two Phillips screws (34) on the
carrying handle (20).
8.2 Installing the machine stand (Fig. 18 - 21)
Before assembling / starting up, check the frame is
complete
• M8x30 mm hexagonal bolt (D)
• 8.5 mm washer (E)
• 8.5 mm spring washer (F)
• Hexagonal nut M8 (G)
• Foot (H)
• Cross members, top (K)
• Cross members, bottom (L)
• Longitudinal members, top (I)
• Longitudinal members, bottom (J)
• M5x10 mm Phillips screw (C)
• Rubber feet (M)
• Flat round screw with square head
M6x10 mm (N)
• Hexagonal nut M6 (O)
• Spring washer (P)
• Washer (Q)
Attention:
When assembling the base frame, make sure it is on
a level surface.
Before each use of the machine, check the screws on
the machine stand and tighten them if necessary.
• Screw the rubber feet (M) onto the feet (H) with the
Phillips screws (C) (Fig. 18).
• Screw the cross members (K & L) to the feet (H)
using the supplied flat round screws (N), washers
(Q), spring washers (P) and the hexagon nuts (O)
(Fig. 18).
• Repeat this process (Fig. 18).
• Screw the longitudinal members (I & J) to the feet (H)
using the supplied flat round screws (N), washers
(Q), spring washers (P) and the hexagon nuts (O)
(Fig. 19).
• Screw the assembled components (Fig. 18 and 19)
together using the supplied flat round screws (N),
washers (Q), spring washers (P) and the hexagon
nuts (O) (Fig. 20).
• Place the scroll saw on the machine stand and align
it so that the holes in the saw are aligned with those
in the machine stand.
Then screw the scroll saw in place with the hexag-
onal bolts (D), washers (E), spring washers (F) and
M8 hexagon nuts (L) supplied (Fig. 21).
WARNING
Risk of injury! Disconnect the mains plug on the scroll
saw before all assembly work.
8.3 Mounting/changing the saw blade

To avoid injuries due to unintentional start up: Before

removing or replacing the saw blade, always press "0"

and remove the mains plug from the socket.

8.3.1 Fitting/removing the table inlay (Fig. 9 & 10)

Loosen the star grip screw (1).

Set the saw blade guard (3) and the retaining de-

vice (5) all the way up.

Reach under the saw table (6) and press the table

inlay (22) upwards.

It is now possible to remove the table inlay (24).

Pay attention to the position of the sawing gap when
inserting the table inlay (22). The table inlay (22) must
be inserted as shown in Fig. 9. Otherwise the machine
can be damaged during mitre cuts.
8.3.2 Disassembly of the saw blade with pins
(Fig. 9 - 13)

To remove the saw blade (25), remove the table
inlay (22) upwards. (see 8.3.1)
2.
First release the tension by turning the clamping
screw (11) for blade tension clockwise. (Fig. 10)
3.
Hold the saw blade (25) firmly and press the arm
(35) down slightly (see Fig. 11).
4.
Remove the saw blade (25) from the top and bot-
tom saw blade holder (29/27).
