Connection of the „Autocode Remote" and initial set-up
Important: The „Autocode-Remote" only works with a strong and stable Wifi
network of 2.4 GHz (or a LAN connection) and must be connected to the OBD
port of a vehicle. Ensure sufficient battery voltage.
Connect the 16-pin OBD connector of the Auto-
code Remote to the OBD port of the vehicle. Ab-
out 60 seconds after connection, the orange LED
in the upper left corner of the Ethernet port starts
to light up constantly. Almost at the same
time, the green LED in the top right corner starts to flash slowly. The Autocode
Remote can now be connected to the network via WiFi.
The initial setup can be done with any internet-
enabled device that can connect to a WiFi net-
work. Alternatively, you can also connect via a
LAN cable (DHCP, IPv4) to be connected to the
Autocode-Remote. In this case, please continue
directly with the next but one paragraph „Logging
on to https://westfalia.obd.help/login". The follo-
wing describes the setup using a smartphone.
This procedure only needs to be carried out once. Deactivate mobile data in the
settings. Open the WiFi settings and select the autocode remote there. The auto-
code remote has the network name „Connector 5xxxx". („5xxxx" is the serial
number that you will find on the back of the device).
Important: Ignore notifications that the WLAN connection has been interrupted
or that there is no connection. This is correct as you are connecting to the "Auto-
code-Remote".
Access connector.help via the browser or scan
the QR code. Select the WLAN network to which
you want to connect the „Autocode Remote"
(this can also be a hotspot on another device).
Enter the password of the selected network to
connect the device. If the connection is inter-
rupted, try to select a WiFi network again and
establish a connection.
