4. KDS-100 Configuration
[Read]: Download the KDS-100 data to the
KPG-71D.
[Cancel]: Cancels the download and closes the
window.
An error message appears when a data transmission
failure occurs for any reason.
Note: You are required to enter your password if the data
password is set on the KDS-100.

Writing to MDT

The following window appears when selecting "Write
from MDT" from the pull-down menu.
[Write]: Upload the KPG-71D data to the KDS-100.
[Cancel]: Cancels the upload and closes the
window.
Following are descriptions of each checkbox.
MDT Adjust Time: Sends the time data to the
KDS-100. The data is the same as the time
displayed on the Status bar. (The OS sets the time)

You can operate the time data in
the Terminal Settings of the KDS-100.

Memory Clear: Allows you to initialise the volume
level

received messages that are stored in the KDS-100.
It works the same as "ALL CLR" in Reset mode, in
the KDS-100.

Test Mode

The following window appears when selecting "Test
Mode" from the pull-down menu.

This window allows you to adjust the MSK output level of
the KDS-100. Output levels should be within a certain
range to ensure stable communications between
transceivers.
Set the level from 1 to 256 by pressing ← ← ← ← and → → → → . Set
the radio input/ output level by clicking the [TX ON]/
[TX OFF] button located in the right corner of the
display. Set the input level when the button reads
[TX ON] and the output level when it reads [TX OFF].
The following display appears during Test Mode.
The value on the display changes, corresponding to the
PC's level setting. The LED flashes Green or Red when
selecting [TX ON] or [TX OFF]. In this case, you cannot
use the keys on the KDS-100 display. Click [OK] when
you finish setting the radio level. The data is written to
the KDS-100. Press [Cancel] to quit the level setting and
close the window.
Note: Select the Test (Mode) checkbox on the Others tab of
Optional Features before uploading the data to the KDS-100
for executing the Test Mode.

If you do not perform these operations before
executing Test mode, an error message appears when
selecting "Test Mode".

4.2.3.5. Tools

This command allows you to read the KDS-100
data, such as the model name and serial number.
It does not read the KPG-71D data.
A pull-down menu appears when selecting the
command at the Menu.
