3. KDS-100 Operation
You can select the sorting method on this screen.
TIME: This mode displays the message by order of
receipt. Sort with the message receipt time of the
KDS-100, not with the message stamps. (Default
value)
NAME: This mode displays the messages in order
of the caller's name. Sort the messages by the ASCII
code and display them in ascending order.
Lowercase and uppercase characters
considered. Check the first 10 characters of the
message and the following letters will not be used for
sorting.
TITLE: Check the first 10 characters of the
message to sort and then sort the messages by the
ASCII code and display them in ascending order.

ICON: Sort the message by the order of messages
to be read, messages that have already been read,
and messages that have been checked.
Select a sorting method using the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys, then
press [EXECUTE]. Press MENU to abort sorting.
T T T T [CHECK]: Check a message
You can assign this function-to-function key [2] on
the second screen to check the Message List
display.
This command allows you to check the currently
selected message. The checkmark appears on the
left side of the Message List.
The [SORT] command allows you to sort checked
messages so that you can select a certain message
among many messages. When you have the
message to which a response should be made,
check the message. You can uncheck the message
by moving the cursor to the already checked and
executing the [CHECK] command.
T T T T [DELETE]: Delete the received message from

the Message List

You can assign this function-to-function key [3] on
the second screen to delete the currently selected
message from the Message List.

This command allows you to delete the currently
selected message from the Message List. The
message, however, will not be deleted from the
terminal's memory. Addtional operations on the
terminal settings are required to delete the message
from the terminal's memory.
Note: You may not be able to execute [DELETE] due to
the configuration of the KPG-71D.
this case, [DELETE] will not appear.
Terminal settings are the mode where you can
make adjustments to the KDS-100. You can adjust
the sound volume, the display brightness, the
display contrast, time, and delete message in this
mode.
Press and hold MENU more than 1 second to enter
terminal settings.
Terminal Settings mode has two screens.
You can toggle between these screens by pressing
function key [5].

First Screen

Following are explanations of how to assign the function
keys on the first screen.
[1] [VOLUME]: This key allows you to adjust the sound
volume when you operate KDS-100.
[2] [DIMMER]: This key allows you to adjust the
brightness of the KDS-100 display.
[3] [LINES]: : : : This key allows you to adjust the number
of lines displayed on the KDS-100.
[4] [CONTRAS]: This key allows you to adjust the
contrast of the KDS-100 display.
[5] [MORE]: This key allows you to go to the second
screen.
Note: [VOLUME], [DIMMER], [LINES], and [CONTRAS]
commands that are assigned at the first screen do not have the
