Installing the protective cover (21) (Fig. 19)
1.
Fit the protective cover (21) to the base body stop
(13) and fix it in place using the pin Ø6x35 (w).
NOTE: To fit the protective cover (21), the top pressure
bar (2) with the holder for the top pressure bar (18) must
be dismantled.
9.7
Connection of the milling machine to a
suction system
1.
A connection to an external suction system (not in-
cluded in the scope of delivery) for extracting dust
and chips is provided.
2.
Push the vacuum hose of the suction system onto
the suction adapter (20).
9.8
Installing and changing the collet Ø6 (u) or
collet Ø8 (v) (Fig. 20)
m Attention!
Pull out the mains plug before all maintenance and ad-
justment work.
m Attention!
The collet must correspond precisely to the diameter
of your cutter.
1.
Select the collet Ø6 (u) or collet Ø8 (v).
2.
Loosen the stop bars (17) and push it backwards.
3.
Remove the table inlays (27).
4.
Push the open-ended spanner size 19 (23) directly
beneath the locknut of the collet Ø6 (u) or the collet
Ø8 (v) and hold it tight.
5.
Loosen the locknut of the collet Ø6 (u) or the collet
Ø8 (v) anti-clockwise using the open-ended span-
ner size 24 (24).
6.
Remove the milling tool and the collet Ø6 (u) or
collet Ø8 (v).
7.
Now insert the appropriate collet Ø6 (u) or collet
Ø8 (v) and the appropriate milling tool. The milling
tool must be inserted at least 20 mm.
8.
Retighten the locknut of the collet Ø6 (u) or collet
Ø8 (v) using the open-ended spanner size 24 (24).
9.
Re-insert the table inlays (27).
10. Adjust the stop bar (17) as needed using the scale
(28) on the table.
11. Attach the suction system. It is strongly recom-
mended to connect a suction system to keep the
opening free of chips, to cool the motor and to fa-
cilitate workpiece feeding.
12. Re-connect the machine to the mains.

10. Before commissioning

m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
m Attention: The milling machine has a shaft that is
vertical to the work table (3). The axle is used to hold
the cutting tools, discs and shaping cutters. The milling
machine is used to produce friezes, single or multiple
recesses, grooves, rebates, profiles and counter pro-
files on straight surfaces, etc.
Only cutters up to max. 80 mm in diameter may be
used with the milling machine. If larger diameters are
required, we recommend working in several steps and
adjusting repeatedly using the crank wheel (5), or ad-
justing the stop step by step.
10.1 Setting the stop bars (Fig. 21, 22, 23)
Use of the stop bars is mandatory. Each task must
be considered separately. Each time you use the ma-
chine, you must make sure that the protective devic-
es are correctly installed and adjusted. Each time it is
used again, each pressure piece must be readjusted
on the stop bars.
Make sure that each screw is well tightened before you
start cutting.
1.
The stop bars (17) must be adjusted to the size of
the workpiece and the cutting tool.
2.
Loosen the two star grip nuts M6 (b) marked with
arrows on the rear of the stop bars (17).
3.
Set the top pressure bar (2), front pressure bar
(6) and the stop bars (17) so that they ensure
the safe guidance of the workpiece at the input
and output section of the product.
4.
Slide the stop bars (17) to the desired position.
Use the two scales (28) to determine the distance
between the stop bar (17) and the centre of the
cutter.
5.
Tighten the two star grip nuts M6 (b) marked with
arrows on the rear again in order to keep the stop
bar (17) in this position.
10.2 Adjusting the moveable stop (12) for trim-
ming (Fig. 21)
1.
When trimming wood, the material that comes out
of the cutter on the left is thinner than the mate-
rial on the right.
