Auto White Balance ("AWB") automatically
maintains optimum color balance in most

Digital Functions, etc., you may get better
results by using the manual adjustment.

POWER--
Set POWER to CAMERA.

Press AUTO/MANUAL
so that the
"MNL" indication appears in the EVF
or the LCD monitor.
Press JOG KEY repeatedly
until
"AWB" appears in the EVF or LCD
monitor.
Rotate JOG KEY to select ether
modes. (See mode chartat/eft.)
• Press AUTO/MANUAL
to cancel the
setting.

halogen lamp.
When shooting outdoors on a
sunny day.
The White Balance setting that
was previously set manually.
• When ZOOM is set to 10X or
higher, Wh}te Be}once cannot be
adjusted.

* For manual White Balance
adjustment:
A. Rotate JOG KEY to select "_I.Z'.
B. Poirr[ the Palmeorder at a white
object (full-aoresn)
and hold JOG
KEY down until "_==Z' i ndication stops
flashing.
• If "L_" indication flashes when the
Palmcerder is turned on, the previous
manual White Balance setting is in
effect.
In the following cases, the "_Z"
indication flashes:
• The flashing indicates that the
previously adjusted White Balance
setting is still kept. This setting will be
kept until White Balance isadjusted
again.
• Correct White Balance may not be
attainable manually in poor lighting
conditions.
• DISPLAY (Menu OSD: p. 109) must be
set to ALL for MF, AE, W.BALANCE,
HIGH SPEED SHUTTER, or IRIS to be
displayed on the LCD or EVF.
,, While "GAIN UP _ or "MAGICPIX _ ie
displayed on the LCD or EVF, Manual
White Balance is inoperable.
