OPERATION
Simple Stow Infloor Ramp
Operation
The term deploy indicates the
extending (outward) motion of
the ramp to the deployed posi-
tion. Stow is the retracting (in-
ward) motion of the ramp to the
(stowed) infloor position.
The ramp must be manually de-
ployed and stowed by an atten-
dant. Before stowing or deploy-
ing the ramp, be sure no passen-
gers or any part of a wheelchair
is resting on the ramp transition
flap. The ramp is equipped with
a deploy/stow pole (with handle
at top). Disengage the pole from
the B-pillar stow clip. Carefully
deploy and stow the ramp using
the handle. The pole will flex
slightly during operation.

Be sure the ramp has been fully
deployed before boarding the ramp.
The ramp is fully deployed when
the ramp transition flap (threshold
plate) drops into contact with the
surface of the ramp platform.
An oval-shaped hand hold slot is
also provided on the ramp. The
hand hold can be used as an alter-
native method of operation.
Use ramp deploy/stow handle
to deploy and stow ramp.
During operation keep ramp platform level with or below
vehicle floor and walk the ramp into or out of the vehicle.
When stowing or deploying the
ramp it is recommended that the
ramp be held level with or below the
vehicle floor and walk the ramp into
or out of the vehicle.
Keep clear of the ramp enclosure
when stowing the ramp. Remember
to use good body mechanics when
deploying and stowing the ramp.
