INSTALLATION

To operate the network camera, it is necessary to connect a network cable for data
transmission and a power connection from the power supply unit� Depending on the
operating mode, it is possible to additionally connect an alarm cable� For mounting in
different locations, please contact an installer�

Description
Ethernet, RJ 45 connector compatible with 10/100Mbps PoE Modular Jack�
Connect a standard RJ 45 cable to the network port of the network camera� Usually a cross-over
cable is used for direct connection to a PC, while a direct cable is used for connection to a hub�
You can also use a router with PoE (Power over Ethernet) to supply power to the camera��
Main power supply, DC socket, DC12V
Connect the 12VDC power supply for the network camera� Connect the positive (+) terminal
to the + position and the negative (--) terminal to the -- position for the DC power supply�
When connecting the power cable, be careful not to reverse the polarity�
• A router with PoE (Power over Ethernet) can also be used to power the camera�
• For power supply specifications, see the Appendix, Product Specification�
• When both PoE and 12 VDC are applied, the camera is powered by the higher voltage,

Alarm input and output, 3-pole terminal
• AI: Alarm Input
You can use external devices to signal the network camera to respond to events� Mechanical or
electrical switches can be connected to the KI (Alarm In) and G (Ground) terminals�
• G: GND
Connect the ground side of the alarm input and/or alarm output to the G (Ground) terminal�
• AO: Alarm Output
The network camera can activate external devices such as buzzers or lights� Connect the device
to the AO (Alarm Out) and G (Ground) terminals�
