Replacement of IR tubes
Under no circumstances may the device be used with broken IR tubes.

Repairs must only be done by a professional.

Any and all repairs that are not made by a
professional shall void all warranties.
Ensure that the device has cooled down.
Unfasten the protective grille by removing the screws
(1) located at the short ends of the heating surface.
Remove the protective grille (2).

Carefully remove the reflector end covers (3).
Release the IR tubes' connection wires by unscrewing the
screw connection on the connection plinth (4).
Use a flat-head screwdriver, 4 mm. Avoid damaging the screw threads.
Carefully pry the loops in the end springs (5) in the direction of the arrow so that

they are released from the IR tubes' porcelain socket.
Carefully twist the IR tube in the direction of the arrows

in order to release them from the centre springs (6).
Carefully dry the accessible parts of the reflector,
reflector end covers and the protective grille.
Use a soft cloth moistened with methylated sprits
Reinstall a new IR tube in the reverse order.
Always use an original tube and ensure that the
right kind of IR tube is used.
Make sure that all wires are positioned properly and
that end caps are properly placed in the ceramic plinths;

then tighten the screw connections.
Put the reflector end covers back in place as well as
the protective grille and ensure that the screws a
properly tightened.
Test-run the device. The IR tubes should produce
an even light-red glow. If there is a considerable
difference between IR tubes, the other may also
need to be replaced.
Used IR tubes' can be turned in at a glass or metal recycling station.
