IN CASE OF TROUBLE
BEFORE CALLING
FOR SERVICE CAREFULLY
REVIEW THIS GUIDE
In the event you are still unable to correct the problem,
consult the Customer
Service
Department
at the
factory for all repair service and to arrange for a loaner/rental unit. Be sure to specify your model
number,
serial number, and a detailed description of the problem
encountered.
A. | Machine will not pull and neither Static nor Intermittent Traction Mode
Indicator
or (15) is lit:
1.
Power Supply Cord (Male End) (1)
is not connected to electrical outlet.
2.
Electrical outlet is not operable
try connecting
another electrical appliance
known
to be in an
operable
condition
(such
as a lamp)
to the same
outlet to check
this
possibility.
Check
circuit
breaker or fuse at building power panel.
3.
If your electrical outlet is fitted with a GFI (ground fault interrupt) device, it may
need to be reset.
4.
Power Supply Cord (Female
End) 02)
is not fully engaged
in Power Supply Receptacle
©.
5. Power On/Off Switch (7) is turned "OFF".
B. | Machine will not pull and either Static or Intermittent Traction Mode Indicator
or (15)
is lit:
1.
Max Traction Knob ©
is in Cord Release Position ©.
2.
Treatment Timer Knob (17)
is set at zero or not first turned past "5" minutes before setting to less
than "5" minutes.
3.
The number
of seconds
indicated by the Rest Timer Knob
have not elapsed.
4.
The Rest Timer Setting was changed
and the new setting will not be recognized
until the next
traction cycle.
5.
A Min/Max
Error, Safety Interrupt, or Patient Interrupt has occurred as indicated by lit displays (21)

6.
If your machine is a TT-92LV model which was upgraded to the TT-92B configuration, the Patient
Interrupt Switch
(3)
and cord assembly may be unplugged or not fully inserted into its receptacle.
7.
The Braided Traction Cord @ is extended from the slot to its full length — allow some of the cord to
retract back into the unit and use a Catalog

C. | Machine will pull but not release:
1.
Hold Timer Knob
is set for Static Traction.
2.
The number of seconds indicated by the Hold Timer Knob
have not elapsed.
3.
The Hold Timer setting was changed
and the new setting will not be recognized
until the next
traction cycle.
4.
The circuit breaker feature has turned the "Power On/Off Switch"

"ОН".
5.
There has been a loss of power to the machine — see
possible causes following problem "A" above.
6.
Another
apparatus
such
as a short wave
diathermy
is in use too near the traction
machine
and
is affecting its timers.
D. | Machine
pulls repeatedly while in Hold
Phase.
1.
Machine
is automatically taking
up normal
mid-treatment
slack due to harness
stretch or patient
movement
see
description
of
Hold
Timer
Knob
under
"OPERATING
CONTROLS
AND
FEATURES"
for details on the "Top-up"
feature.
E. | Machine interrupts normal operation.
1.
Short
wave
diathermy
and
microwave
diathermy
devices
typically
generate
radio
freguency
interference which, if used too near the traction machine, may interrupt normal operation. To correct
this type of problem,
simply
avoid
the concurrent
use of diathermy
devices
in the vicinity of the
traction machine.
