Protocols and ports configuration
Dual WirelessHART provides two WirelessHART networks under one IP address for HART-IP
based protocols. Connecting to client systems or central hosts via HART-IP requires the
ability for connecting to two separate ports on a single IP address. Each network's port
number can be assigned in the Protocols and Ports page. The protocols that require
unique port number assignments for each network will have a "1" or "2" for Network 1
or Network 2, respectively, in the Ports and Protocols settings page.
Connecting a Dual WirelessHART Gateway via HART-IP with a client system or central host
without capability for two separate ports on a single IP address can be done by using the
two Ethernet ports and assigning Network 1 to one Ethernet port and Network 2 to the
other Ethernet port. In this configuration, both networks have unique IP addresses and
port number assignments.
For all other Ethernet communication protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP, Ethernet-IP, OPC-UA),
both Network's data will be communicated through a single port.
