Z-axis wiper
Procedure :
1-
Follow the procedure 1 to 3 under "X-axis wiper".
2-
Remove the cover at the lower part of the turret and then remove the wiper.
3-
Air off the chips and clean the wiper with the cleaning oil.
4-
Apply lubricating oil to the sealing surface and attach the wiper back.
5-
Make sure that the wiper works fine and smoothly.
CAUTION
Replace the wiper with new one if any damage such as a crack or abrasion can be
observed in the sealing surface.

Adjusting Slideway Tapered Gibs

The tapered gibs are mounted on each slideways to keep the optimized clearance on the slideways.
If the condition changes from using the machine for a long period of time, make the following
adjustment.

If you remove the wiper (see "7. Cleaning, 7-1. Sliding Cover and Wiper" for how to remove the
wiper), you can see the adjusting screws for the tapered gibs inside. (indicated with ●). See the fol-
lowing chart and instructions.
