Cleaning

Sliding Cover and Wiper

The slideways have a cover and a wiper to prevent chips from coming in. Clean them every six
months. If coolant is not used, remove the chips and grease with the lubricating oil.
Disassembling order
Preliminarily remove the chips on the machine and clean around the machine. Then, follow the
instructions below.
X-axis wiper
Procedure :
1-
Turn on the power. (NFB, CNC, Operation Preparation, in that order.)
2-
Move the Z-axis turret close to the positive stroke end.
3-
Turn off the power. (CNC, NFB, in that order.)
4-
Remove the sliding covers on both side of the turret and remove the wiper.
5-
Air off the chips and wash the wiper with cleaning oil.
6-
Apply lubricating oil to the sealing area and attach the wiper back.
7-
Make sure that the wiper works fine and smoothly.
CAUTION
Replace the wiper with new one if any damage such as a crack or abrasion can be
observed in the sealing surface.
