Filling the water tank

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Never fill the water tank
Never submerge the steam head
NOTE
The appliance should only be used with tap water or distilled water for
steaming . If your tap water is hard, we recommend that you mix it with
distilled water . Otherwise, the appliance will accumulate limescale quickly .
Mix the tap water with distilled water in accordance with the following
table for optimal performance .
Information about the level of hardness of water in your area can be
obtained from your local water company .
Never use water that contains additives (e .g . starch, perfumes, softening
agents) or condensation (e .g . from dryers, refrigerators, air conditioning
units or rain) . These may contain organic or mineral residues that accumu-
late when exposed to heat and can cause noise, brown discolouration and
premature failure of the appliance .
1) Remove the mains plug from the power socket if connected .
2) Remove the water tank
