USB AUDIO INTERFACE SETUP

Use this setup if you want to use the 828 as a USB
audio interface for a computer.
Use the included USB-C-to-C or a high-quality
(USB-IF certified) USB-C-to-A cable.
Connect to any USB port (USB 2.0 or 3.0) on
your computer.
See "USB audio class-compliant operation" on
page 19.
For Mac or iOS operation, no driver installation
is necessary.

iOS SETUP (USB-C)

Use the 828 as an iOS audio interface, or control it
from your iOS device.
Use this setup for iOS devices with a USB-C
port.
Connect the 828 directly to the iOS device with
the included USB-C-to-C cable.

A NOTE ABOUT USB CABLES AND ADAPTERS

The USB C-to-C cable supplied with your 828 is
USB-IF certified and rated for USB3 operation at
5 Gbp/s. If your computer doesn't have a USB-C
port, use a USB C-to-A cable. For best
performance and reliability, a high-quality USB-IF
certified cable is recommended.
USB-C-to-A plug
adapters with a male USB-A
plug and a female USB-C
port (designed to accept the
host-side of the C-to-C
cable) should not be used, as
they are not compliant with
USB-IF standards.
iOS device with
USB-C port
USB-C to USB-C cable
This type of USB A-to-C
adapter is not recommend.
