* Service information:
Bice line 17(11) is occupied for recording the AEQ (Automatic Equal-
er)
The SA-R200 is a time code generator board specifically de-
signed for installation in the GY-X2B. SMPTE-standard LTC or
VITC time code recording is possible. (LTC is recorded on the
AUD-2 normal audio track.)
e If the time code has run for more than 30 minutes in the Free
Run mode, it will keep running for at least 30 minutes even
after the recorder's power is turned off.
Note
@ When the AEF is set to "QUICK" in the Rec Run mode,
time code continuity will be lost at the edit point.
e if the Record-Pause mode is engaged during time code
recording in the Rec Run mode, time code data will be
missing for several frames at the point where recording is
re-started.
e Since the time code is not continuous, it is a good practice
to allow at least 5 seconds of record time at the start of
each shot so that the scene can be successfully edited
later. Edit controllers must have continuous time code dur-
ing preroll.
INSTALLATION
LINE SELECTION
The SA-R200 utilizes the VITC system that inserts the time
codes into the vertical bianking.
Lines on which VITC data is to be inserted are preset at the
factory: 16 H and 18 H.
Lines can be selected in the range from 10 H to 25 H (except
for 17 H). For details, consult your JVC service agent.
