General Air Cleaner
Maintenance
1.
Check the air cleaner body for damage that could
possibly cause an air leak. Replace a damaged
air cleaner body.
2.
Service the air cleaner filters when the air cleaner
indicator (Fig. 22) shows red or every 400 hours
(more frequently in extreme dusty or dirty
conditions). Do not over service the air filter.

Be sure the cover seals around the air cleaner
body.
Servicing the Air Cleaner
1.
Pull the latch outward and turn the air cleaner
cover counter-clockwise. Remove the cover from
the body (Fig. 23). Clean inside of the air cleaner
cover.

Gently slide the primary filter (Fig. 24) out of the
air cleaner body to reduce the amount of dust
dislodged. Avoid knocking the filter against the
air cleaner body.
