Problem

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

WARNING!
Always switch the appliance off and let it cool down before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work!
Do not immerse burners into water or other liquids. If they become wet, let them dry thoroughly and check the function afterwards.
Cleaning
1. Clean the appliance regularly (even if it is not used) and after each use.
2. Turn the burner on for 15 to 20 minutes. Grease drippings will be burned off from the appliance. Ensure the appliance is cold before continuing.
3. Grids should be cleaned periodically by soaking and washing in soapy water.
4. The interior surfaces of the appliance's housing cover should also be washed with hot, soapy water. Use a wire brush, steel wool or a scouring pad to
remove stubborn spots.
5. Periodically check the burner to see that it is free from insects and spiders which may clog the gas system, deflecting gas flow. Ensure to clean venturi
pipes on burner very carefully, make sure that there are no obstructions. We recommend that you use a pipe cleaner to clean the venturi pipe area.
NOTES:
Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive detergents or disinfectants to clean this appliance as they might be harmful to its
surfaces.
Take care not to enlarge burner ports or orifice/nozzle openings when cleaning the burner or valves.
Stainless steel surfaces
1. Wipe all stainless steel surfaces with a wet soft cloth. Use a mild detergent to remove grease.
2. Remove grease and food remains from the firebox with a plastic or wooden spatula.
3. Remove the burners before cleaning the firebox.
4. The stainless steel cooking grill, grease tray and grease box are dishwasher safe. Before washing it / them in the dishwasher, hand wash it / them with
warm water and non-citrus based soap at first. These items can have residues of grease and foodstuff, that could clog the plumbing of your dishwasher. A
quick prewash will prevent your dishwasher from getting clogged! After dishwashing, dry with a clean soft cloth to prevent water stains that can occur from
air-drying.
5. Stainless steel is protected by a thin layer of chromium oxide. With the build-up of dirt, grease, grime or exposure to the rain without cleaning and quick
drying, it does not work properly and can lead to corrosion.
6. Consistent maintenance such as keeping the appliance always clean and dry is a necessity to prevent rust spots.
7. Use a mild liquid dish detergent mixed with warm water. Do not use harsh cleaners such as bleach.
8. A soft cloth or microfiber cloth should be used. Do not use steel-wool pads or steel brushes, which can permanently damage the finish.
9. Rinse well with clean water.
10. Dry with a clean soft cloth to prevent water stains that can occur from air-drying.
Grease tray / box
1. Avoid grease tray / box overflows. Empty regularly during use.
2. Clean the grease tray / box after each use with warm water and a mild detergent.
MAINTENANCE
Before and after each use, check the appliance or accessories or attachments for wear and damage. If required, exchange them for new ones as described in
this instruction manual. Observe the technical requirements (
Burner
1. A conversion to a different gas type must be done by qualified personnel or your retailer only.
2. Clean the burners at least once per year or whenever they get dusty.
3. Make sure that no dust or insects get inside the burners openings or the air intake.
4. Clean the burners with a pipe cleaner. Use a wire brush to clean any rust from the surface of the burners.
5. Make sure that the valve outlets of the valve unit are placed exactly in the air funnels of each burner, when assembling the appliance.
6. Perform a visual check of the burners' flames regularly, do as follows:
a. Remove cooking grids and flame tamers.
b. Light the burners.
c. Turn control knobs from HI to LO position. Check the flame status. The flame in LO position should be smaller
than in HI position (Fig. 1).
d. Always check flame before each use if anything seems out of the ordinary

Possible cause and solution
Check to make sure that the thermometer functions properly. To do this, lay an oven thermometer in the
appliance and compare the temperature indicated by the oven thermometer with the temperature indicated
by the appliance's thermometer.
Check all gas connections for gas leaks. If there is a gas leak, tighten the connection.
Straighten up the gas hose if bent or kinked.
Clear the burners or the orifice if blocked.
Have your gas dealer check the gas cylinder in case of low gas pressure.
Gas supply is not sufficient as there is not enough gas in the gas cylinder. Refill or replace the gas cylinder.
The appliance takes longer to heat up when it is cold outside. The time required to heat from 250°C to
320°C is usually about 10 - 15 minutes.
