4 E-1000 Series User's Guide
The video cable is correctly attached to both the monitor and the
system video connector
The monitor power cable is plugged into an AC outlet or
surge-protected power strip (and that the power strip is on)
The monitor is turned on.
You may also need to adjust the brightness control on the monitor.
To complete the operating system setup

After the system starts, a startup wizard opens. Click
Type the requested information (such as your name, company name,

workgroup, or other information) in the appropriate text boxes. When
you have finished entering information, click
Continue following the instructions and selecting options in the

wizard dialog boxes, clicking
finish the wizard and are prompted to restart your computer.
Note that almost all of the dialog boxes that open in the startup wizard
have a button that takes you back to previous dialog boxes in case you
need to change or correct the information you typed.
Restart your system. The setup is complete.

Creating a Startup Diskette

You can create a startup diskette to start your computer if you are having
problems starting Windows. When you insert the startup disk in your
computer before restarting, the computer starts from that disk, not from
your hard drive. You will need one diskette.
To create a startup diskette for Windows 95 and Windows 98
