OPERATING TUNER (GUI OPERATION)
Calling up the tuner display.
PRESET TUNING
1. Press the GUI MODE button.
The MAIN MENU is displayed.
You can preset up to 30 FM/AM stations for easy recall.
2. Press the TUNER button of the input selector.
The > mark moves to the right of the TUNER display.

3. Press the TUNER button once more.
1. Tune in the desired station.

FM/AM TUNER operation indications are displayed as shown
Refer to "MANUAL/AUTO TUNING"
procedure,
below.
In addition to station frequencies, the MPX MODE can also be
preset (FM only).
2. Press the MEMORY
button in the upper right of the display.
Number buttons 1 to 30 are displayed.
The frequency to be memorized is indicated in the upper right
digital display section.
3. Select the desired channel for memorizing using the STATION
No. 1 to 30 buttons.
4. Press YES to compiete
memorization
and returns to the
FM/AM TUNER operation display.
MANUAL/AUTO TUNING
1. Move the cursor to BAND, and select FM or AM.
The band changes each time you press the ENTER button.
2. Move the cursor to the ieft or right (— or +) of the analog
meter and press the ENTER
button to raise or lower the
frequency as desired.
@ One Step Tuning:
Press the ENTER button and release quickly. The frequency will
change by one step each time the button is pressed. Press as many
times as necessary to tune in the desired station.
@ Auto Tuning:
Press the ENTER button until the frequency starts to change (about 1
sec.), then release it. The tuner automatically searches for a
broadcasting station and stops when one is found.
NOTE:
When the signal level is toe weak for reception, the unit cannot
perform Auto tuning, in this case. change to Manual tuning.
*High Speed Manual Tuning:
Keep
the
ENTER
button
pressed.
The
frequency
changes
continuously, and stops when the button is released.
FM auto stereo reception and monaural reception
Press the MPX MODE button, and mono is indicated in the top right
of the digital display section. Press once more and it disappears.
{The MONO indicator in the main display comes on and goes outin
the same way.)

® If an FM stereo broadcast is received when the MONO indicator is
out, the sound will be monaural.
If there is interference during STEREO mode reception, switch to
MONO. The sound will become monaural but interference will be
reduced.
