    Kōjin (KOH-JIN)- Kōjin is the Japanese god of fire, the hearth, and the kitchen. He embodies fire, controlled and turned toward a good purpose and is said to destroy all impurity. Archgard's Kōjin 50 molds the flame to provide a contemporary, linear wall-to-wall fire that will fill your space with pure tranquility.

The valve is located toward the left side of the control area and the control board is in the middle.     Installation 6.3 Barrier Screen (50-BS) Removal To remove the screen, gently lift slightly up and pull the screen straight out. The screen is held in place with notched brackets, allowing the screen depth to be adjusted to accommodate the finish material. Upper end notched to allow screen adjustment.

    In the event your glass cracks or breaks, replace the original door assembly with Archgard replacement door assembly (part number RP-850-0000). The glass door and frame assembly must be replaced as a complete unit. Remove the barrier screen (See Section 6.2) and remove door as per the instructions above.

    Installation 6.5 Accessing The Controls To access the control board, valve, or backup batteries: Remove the barrier screen (see Section 6.3) or decorative front (see Section 12.5).     Installation 7.0 Electrical Connections The 50-DVTE36CN-1 comes complete with two adjustable 6 speed fans and variable lights wired directly to the main control module. Do not cut or remove the grounding prong from the main power supply plug. CAUTION: Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing. NOTE: This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI / NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical code, CSA C22.1.

The finishing strips will extrude by 1/2". Finish over the front of the fireplace and drywall as shown in Figure 12.4.04.

Always verify proper operation after servicing. 18.1 Cleaning and Routine Maintenance The exterior painted surfaces, glass, and metal plated trims may be cleaned with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and water or a suitable, mild, non-abrasive cleaner.

    Maintenance 18.5 Adjusting the Primary Air The 50-DVTE36CN-1 includes an air shutter located under the door of the fireplace which may be used to adjust the primary air to achieve the ideal flame as shown in Figure 18.5.01. To adjust, loosen the wing nut on the air shutter and adjust as shown in Figure 18.5.02.
