Remove the gears on the right side of the mechanism.

Remove the nine screws holding the right side of the mechanism.
9.
Remove the two screws holding the line feed motor and remove the motor.
10.
Install the motor by reversing the above procedure.
NOTES
The paper thickness lever adjusts the gap between
the printhead and the platen in four increments of
0.1
+
0.05 mm. The gap is adjustable from 0.5
+
0.05 mm to a maximum of 0.8
+
0.05 mm. Figure
6-28 shows the lever positions for the gap settings. If
the paper thickness lever was disassembled, perform
the following readjustment procedure.
1.
Loosen the screw that holds the two parts of the
lever.
2.
Adjust part A of the lever for a 0.5 mm gap
between the printhead and the platen.
3.
Position part B of the lever on the 0.5 mm
indent (Figure 6-28).
4.
Tighten the screw.
6.2.17 Power Transformer, Power Switch, and Noise Filter
Perform the following procedure to remove and replace the power transformer, power switch, and the noise
filter.
1.
Remove the printer housing (Paragraph 6.2.1).
2.
Unplug the power supply connector (Figure 6-9).
CAUTION
The power requirements of each model of the LASO
printer are specific. The label on the fuse plate indi-
cates the voltage setting. When reconnecting the
power supply connector, refer to Paragraph 6.2.2
for proper orientation of the connector.
3.
Remove the two screws holding the transformer to the bottom cover. Remove the transformer.
4.
Unplug the connector between the noise filter (Figure 6-15) and the fuse plate. Remove the
noise filter and power switch.
5.
Install the assembly by reversing the above procedure.
