    All DINION 7100i IR cameras have a 3-step concept for simple installation. With the combination of the robust housing, exceptional image quality and the powerful video analytics, the DINION 7100i IR cameras are the ideal choice for the most demanding outdoor applications, including traffic monitoring, critical infrastructure, and perimeter security.

    This equipment should be unpacked and handled with care. If an item appears to have been damaged in shipment, notify the shipper immediately. Verify that all parts are included. If any items are missing, notify your Bosch Security Systems sales or customer service representative.

    – Screwdriver for TR20 bit, or use a torque wrench TR20 hex key. – microSD card (optional) Note: Bosch recommends the use of industrial microSD cards with health monitoring. – Wireless installation dongle for wireless commissioning (optional).   • Page 14 | Preparing for installation DINION 7100i IR Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) can be connected at the same time as a 24V AC / 12-26V DC power supply. If auxiliary power (24V AC / 12-26V DC) and PoE is applied simultaneously, the camera draws its power from PoE by default, and seamlessly switches to auxiliary input if PoE power fails.

    Grounding provides improved surge protection (up to 1 kV, 1 kA to ground (8/20 µs pulse)). The grounding wire is not included in the box. Bosch recommends the use of a grounding wire with a ring terminal. The ring terminal must not have a thickness greater than 2 mm (0.01 in.).

    | Hardware installation DINION 7100i IR Mark the positions of the screw holes on the surface. Note: For standard installation, use the mounting holes marked with a B on the mounting plate. For a different installation, for example for an installation on a surveillance cabinet, use different mounting holes.
  • Page 19 DINION 7100i IR Hardware installation | en Slightly rotate the camera base in a clockwise motion until it makes a clicking sound. Note: Make sure that the camera base is secured. Insert a grommet to protect the cable: – For an RJ45 network cable, insert the IP66 grommet tightly around the cable.

    | Hardware installation DINION 7100i IR Installing the camera 5.3.1 Installation steps Carefully align the camera with the camera base. Connect the safety cable on the camera to the safety hook located on the right side of the camera base.

Once the position is set: Lock the device manually by rotating the locking ring clockwise. To fully secure the device, lock it with the locking screw (4 Nm).

    5.4.1 Inserting microSD card(s) and Wireless installation dongle Notice! Use microSD cards for maximum reliability. Bosch does not recommend the use of SD to microSD adapters. Locate the rear panel on the back of the device. Fully untighten one screw.

    DINION 7100i IR Hardware installation | en Insert microSD card(s) and/or a Wireless installation dongle for wireless commissioning. Once the wireless commissioning process is completed, remove the Wireless installation dongle. Place the rear panel back. Tighten both rear panel screws (2 Nm).

Make sure that the camera is on top of a flat surface and disconnected from a power source before starting this procedure.

    In such events caused by sunlight, white surfaces, vehicles, mirrors, etc., the polarizing filter offers optimal image quality. The polarizing filter kit is available for DINION 7100i IR tele variants only. Installation steps Remove the 4 screws from the front window of the device.
  • Page 27: Surveillance Cabinet (Fiber Optics) Installation

    The surveillance cabinet provides additional room to install the fiber optics module VG4- SFPSCKT. Bosch surveillance cabinets are designed to meet the power and electrical safety requirements for cameras used in outdoor security applications. The surveillance cabinets provide a power supply for situations without PoE.
