g . Press the INCREMENT ↑ pushbutton for an ampli
tude of 6.34 V.
h . ADJUST
R1033 , Sine Input Offset, and R1022 ,
Sine Drive, for a distortion reading near the previous distor
tion reading .
i . INTERACTION - Repeat these adjustments at 6.32 V
and 6.34 V for best compromise.
j. Press the following buttons in the order listed :

k . ADJUST
R1500 , Offset and R1600 , Amplitude, on
the A70 Loop 2 board , for minimum distortion .

NOTE
The settings of the Sine Input Offset and Sine Drive
controls may be compromised to bring the sine distor
tion to < 0.5% below 200 Hz only if necessary; then
repeat step 23.
I. Disconnect the distortion analyzer from the front-panel
OUTPUT connector . leave the Loop 1 board on the board
extender.
24. Adjust Sine Ampl and Sine Offset ( Sine Shaper, A80)

Internal Adjustment Procedure - FG 5010
b . Connect the differential comparator oscilloscope to
the front-panel OUTPUT connector.
c . ADJUST- R1223 , Sine Ampl , and R1239 , Sine Off
set, for positive and negative peaks of + and -10.0 V.
f. Remove these connections for the next step .
25. Adjust Phase Lock Phase ( Loop 1 , A60)
a . Set Power off . Move P1121 to NORM on CPU . Set
Power on .
b . Connect a 1 kHz squarewave generator set to + and
- 1 V to the front-panel TRIG/GATE IN connector and the
counter B channel . See Fig . 6-1 .
c . Adjust the external generator for a squarewave with a
period of 1000 µs using the counter and sufficient amplitude
to trigger the FG 5010 .
d . Connect the front-panel TRIG OUTPUT connector to
the counter A channel .
e. Press the following buttons in the order listed :

f. Set the counter to read time A to B. Set CH A and
CH B to trigger on positive slope.
g . ADJUST- R1052 , Phase Offset, until the leading
edge of the TRIG OUTPUT waveform leads the input signal
by 250 μs.
h . Change the input to the counter A channel to the ex
ternal generator and the counter B channel input to the
TRIG OUTPUT connector.
