19. Adjust Sine Offset and Sine Amplitude ( Preliminary
Setting) (Sine Shaper, A80)
a . Press the following buttons in the order listed :
( FUNCTION )
TRIANGLE
(MODE)
CONT
(PARAMETER)
OFFSET
( PARAMETER)
AMPL

ENTER
b . Connect the dvm from the front- panel OUTPUT con
nector to ground .
c . Note the exact dvm reading .
d . Press the ( FUNCTION ) SINE pushbutton.
e. ADJUST
R1239 , Sine Offset, for a dvm reading the
same as noted in part c .
f. Remove the dvm connections from the OUTPUT
connector.
g . Press the following buttons in the order listed :

h . Connect the differential comparator oscilloscope to
the OUTPUT connector.
i. ADJUST- R1233 , Sine Amplitude , for a peak to peak
sinewave amplitude of 20.0 V.
j . Leave this connection for the next step .
20. Adjust + Sqr Adj and
Sqr Adj ( Sine Shaper , A80)
a. Connect the oscilloscope to the front-panel OUTPUT
connector.
b. Press the ( FUNCTION) SQUARE pushbutton .

for
the
positive
squarewave level equal to the positive triangle peak ( disre
gard aberrations on squarewave level).
d . ADJUST- R1318 ,
-Sqr
Adj ,
for
a
negative
squarewave level of -10.0 V (disregard aberrations on
leading edge of squarewave).
e. Remove
the
oscilloscope
from
the
OUTPUT
connector.
21. Adjust Damping and Termination ( Output Amplifier,
A50)
a. Press the following buttons in the order listed :

b . Connect the 45 ns delay line to the front- panel OUT
PUT connector.
c . Connect the vertical of the sampling oscilloscope to
the 45 ns delay line through the P6201 probe with a 10X
attenuator tip.
d . ADJUST- C1421 and R1422 , Termination , for mini
mum aberrations 90 ns from the leading transition .
e. Remove the delay line and probe from the OUTPUT .
