Maintenance and cleaning

Regular maintenance and care as well as careful
compliance with the prescribed maintenance inter-
vals are necessary for the safe operation of the tan-
ning device during its service life.
Injury and damage due to improper
or inadequate maintenance
Improper maintenance may result in
injury or damage to the tanning device
or render it unusable.
• To maintain operational safety, the
tanning device must be subjected to
periodic inspections by KBL customer
service or an approved specialist
company every 12 months from the
time of commissioning. Inspection
and maintenance work must be
entered in the inspection and oper-
ating logbook of the tanning device!
(KBL item number: 1100117110).
• If the tanning device has been in use
for more than 10 years, it must be
completely overhauled by trained and
authorised specialist personnel.
• If the tanning device has not been
used for a longer period of time, it must
be checked by trained and authorised
specialist personnel before being put
into operation again.

WARNING
• Only use spare parts approved by the
manufacturer! The use of other parts will
invalidate the manufacturer's warranty!
• In the event of damage or injury demon-
strably caused by the use of spare parts
without manufacturer's approval, liabil-
ity is excluded!
• Only replace lamps and filters with those
listed on the type plate.
• Only use original KBL ballasts for tan-
ning devices with CPI technology!
DOCUMENTING THE MAINTENANCE
• Create a documentation system for your mainte-
nance and service reports.
• Ensure that all inspection and maintenance intervals
are fully observed and documented as described in
the chapter " Maintenance ".
DISCONNECT THE TANNING DEVICE FROM
THE POWER SUPPLY
Live components
Danger to life due to electric shock in
case of contact with live components:
• Disconnect.
• Secured against being switched on
again.
• Check that no voltage is present.
• Earth and short-circuit.
• Cover or isolate adjacent live parts.
