Upon confirming the connection made with this unit as specified (Refer to 1-4[HOW TO GROUND]), operate it. Be sure to connect the earth with the ground terminal of the unit. 2.
3 Operation Manual 3-3 Description of Operation Modes The EPR Series power supply units are provided with two operation modes (constant voltage and constant current modes) and two control modes (local and remote modes). This section describes the constant voltage and constant current modes in the local modes.
3 Operation Manual 3-4 Other function 3-4-1 Over voltage protection (O.V.P) This unit has an over voltage protection. Even at the time of abnormality, it is limited at approx. 110% of the maximum rated voltage, protecting power supply and load from damage. 3-4-2 Over current protection (O.C.P) This unit has an over current protection.

Lights-out *EPR series is high voltage power supply. Therefore, for the safety of users, at the time of factory shipments, it is a setup switch is not outputted unless the OUTPUT switch is turned on. When a blackout protection is OFF, output can be done only with the operation of the remote switch even if the OUTPUT switch is not turned on.
Page 14
3 Operation Manual When a blackout protection is OFF When the POWER switch is turned on again after being turned off during output preparation or an output, EPR series starts in a state before turning off the POWER switch. An output is started by making the remote switch short-circuit in an output preparatory If the POWER switch was turned off during the output, please be careful that the output is reopened immediately when the POWER switch is turned on again.
3 Operation Manual 3-4-6 Door switch (Interlock) High voltage output can be cut off with external switch off. For safety reason, once the output is cut off, the unit shall not resume the output even turning the external switch back on. To reset this status, turn the Power switch on after shorting the interlock terminal.
3 Operation Manual 3-4-8 Output current monitor 10V output for the maximum rated output current. Output impedance is 1k ohm. The monitor output polarity is positive regardless of the high voltage output polarity. ⑪ ⑤ Imoni 3-4-9 Output voltage monitor 10V output for the maximum rated output voltage.

5 LDe option 5 LDe option 5-1 Overview of LDe option The -LDe option adds the pulse sequence function that automatically repeats OUTPUT ON/OFF, the ramp function that easily designates the time of rising/falling. 5-2 Multi-set function Preset values of voltage/current can be stored in the 20 memories of “a” to “t” separately from the ordinary preset values of voltage/current.
Page 30
5 LDe option 3. When the “SET” switch is pressed, the preset value of the selected memory blinks. Accordingly, set the voltage/current values by means of the voltage/current setting dials, during blinking. Set the arbitrary preset values using the voltage/current setting dials. VOLTAGE Press down SET REMOTE...

5 LDe option 5. To deactivate the multi-set function, perform a long press (approx. 5 seconds or more) of the SET switch. Blinking of the “SET LED” is stopped, and the multi-set mode is deactivated. Blinking of SET LED is stopped. Press and hold REMOTE down SET...
5 LDe option 5-3 Features of Pulse Sequence Pulse sequence is a function that outputs the set ON time by pressing OUTPUT to repeat stop of output of the set OFF time the designated number of times. The pulse sequence function enables automated stop the designated number of times and forced stop by pressing OUTPUT.
5 LDe option 5-4 Example of Pulse Sequence Usage 1. Use in infinite number of times As an example here, set pulse sequence to “on”, OUTPUT ON time unit/OUTPUT OFF time unit to sec, OUTPUT ON time/OUTPUT OFF time to 1.0 sec, and Cnt to 0 times.
Page 35
5 LDe option 2. Use in designated number of times As an example here, set pulse sequence “on”, OUTPUT ON time unit/OUTPUT OFF time unit to sec, OUTPUT ON time/OUTPUT OFF time to 1.0 sec, and Cnt to twice. Set pulse sequence ON in pulse sequence menu.
Page 36
5 LDe option 3. Use in Multi-set mode As an example here, set pulse sequence “on”, OUTPUT ON time unit/OUTPUT OFF time unit to sec, OUTPUT ON time/OUTPUT OFF time of OUTPUT memories A, B and C to 1.0 sec, and Cnt to twice. Set pulse sequence ON in pulse sequence menu.
Page 37
5 LDe option Moving on to normal use, set the values of Multi-set. Set the values of Multi-set while the pulse sequence function is stopped. In case of Multi-set, set memory “a” to 3.00kV, memory “b” to 2.00kV, and memory “c”...
5 LDe option 5-5 Features of Ramp The ramp function sets rising/falling time arbitrarily. In addition, the operation mode of rising/falling can set both voltage and current simultaneously, voltage only, or current only. ・ In use in combination with Multi-set, the pulse sequence function also needs to CAUTION be turned on.
5 LDe option 5-6 Example of Ramp Usage 1. Normal ramp operation and its usage example As an example here, set ramp “on”, ON ramp time/OFF ramp time to 1 sec, and ramp operation to “both” (CV/CC). Set ramp ON in ramp menu.
Page 40
5 LDe option 2. Pulse sequence function and its usage example Using the ramp function in combination with the pulse sequence function, ramp works at rising/falling when repeating ON/OFF. As an example here, set pulse sequence “on”, OUTPUT ON time unit/OUTPUT OFF time unit to sec, OUTPUT ON time/OUTPUT OFF time to 1.0 sec, and Cnt to 0 times.
Page 41
5 LDe option 3. Usage example in combination with Multi-set and pulse sequence function The ramp function repeats memories A/B/C/…/T/OFF by using in combination with the pulse sequence function and Multi-set function to operate ramp in rising/falling. As an example here, set pulse sequence “on”, OUTPUT ON time unit/OUTPUT OFF time unit to sec, OUTPUT ON time/OUTPUT OFF time of memories A, B and C to 1.0 sec, and Cnt to twice.
