Chapter 4.0 Setting the Alarm System
4.
After successfully initiating the setting sequence the:
Set
indicator turns on.
l
Ready
indicator remains lit.
l
Exit Delay timer begins counting down.
l
Keypad beeps six times, continues beeping once per second
l
until beeping rapidly in the final ten seconds.
The system may be configured to have a persistent exit
l
delay that only ends when the exit door is opened and
closed, or when a button is pressed outside the protected
premises.
5.
To cancel the setting sequence, enter your [access code] or
present your proximity tag to the keypad reader.
6.
Once the exit delay timer expires, thereby setting the system,
the:
Ready indicator turns off.
l
Set indicator remains on.
l
Keypad stops sounding.
l
Note: The installer configures the exit delay timer and whether or not an access code is required
for setting the system.

4.4 Exit Delay Time Restart

The control panel provides an option where, if a entry/exit zone is tripped a second time prior to the
end of the exit delay, the exit delay time restarts. The exit delay timer can only be restarted once.
Note: Infinite Exit Delay is also available, so that the installer does not need to program the timer.
Rather, the installer will enable operation, based on British Standards (BS8243).

4.5 Alarm Cancel Window

The control panel provides a period of time in which the user can cancel the alarm transmission. If
the programmed alarm transmission delay has expired, canceling an alarm sends a message to the
monitoring station. Upon a successful transmission of the cancellation message the keypad will beep
6 times.

4.6 Using 2-way Wireless Keys and Proximity Tags

2-way wireless keys allow users in the close proximity of their house the ability to readily set/unset
their system, and to call for help. For information on enrolling wireless keys see "User Labels
(LCD keypads only)".
