Entering Letters and Numbers
You can enter names and memos for the data you stored in the unit or IC memory
card.
To enter names and memos, use the table of

To enter names for tracks and points stored with the MARK key, press the F4 key
(INPUT) to display the table of keys.
When entering names for new points and routes and point memo, the table of keys
automatically appears.
When creating a point or route, recording a track, or storing a current position, a
temporary name, such as "POINT 001," is automatically assigned. To enter a new
name, first select "Clear" from the table, then press the ENTER key. The temporary
name is deleted.
To enter letters and numbers, select the character from the table using the
directional cursor key, then press the ENTER key.
To move the position to enter letters or numbers, move the cursor by selecting the
directional arrows from the table, then press the ENTER key.
To change the characters of the table to lowercase or uppercase, press the F4 key
(CAPS) to change the mode between "CAPITAL" and "SMALL."
When you have finished entering letters or numbers, press the F2 key (END).
To cancel entering names or memos, press the F1 key (QUIT).
Getting Started With the Unit
Notes:
« When entering memos, you can change
paragraphs by selecting "Return" from the
table. then press the ENTER key.
¢ You can enter up to 24 characters for a
point/route/track name and up to 255
characters for a point memo.
* You cannot modify names and memos
that are entered in Japanese language
mode.
