Adjusting the Front Wheel Toe-in
Important:
Before adjusting toe-in, ensure that
the camber adjustment is as close to neutral as
possible; refer to
Adjusting the Camber (page

Measure the distance between both of the front
tires at the axle height at both the front and rear
of the front tires

If the measurement does not fall within 0 to
6 mm (0 to 1/4 inch), loosen the jam nuts at the
outer end of the tie rods

Rotate both tie rods to move the front of the tire
inward or outward.
4.
Tighten the tie rod jam nuts when the adjustment
is correct.
5.
Ensure that there is full travel of the steering
wheel in both directions.

Checking the
Transaxle-Fluid Level
Service Interval: Every 100 hours—Check the
transaxle-fluid level.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface.
2.
Engage the parking brake.
3.
Shut off the motor and remove the key.
4.
Remove the fill plug on the transaxle
Note:
The fluid level should be even with the
bottom of the fill plug.

If the fluid level is low, remove the fill plug and
add the specified fluid until it runs out of the hole
(Figure
53).
6.
Install the fill plug and torque it to 20 to 27 N∙m
(15 to 20 ft-lb).
