CONFIGURING THE REMOTE

Recordinga Macro
Torecord a macrointotheremote's memory, follow
thesesteps:
1. Press andholdthe ProgramButton _

inFigure 24 appears inthe remote's LOD

8. Oncethe firstcommand buttonforthe macrohas
beenpressed, continue to pressthe buttons you
wishto be padof the macro, i ntheordertheywill
beused.Press eachbuttonwithinfiveseconds of
the lastbutton, r emembering t o pressthe Input
SelectorE]P whenyouarechanging device
functions. Asthebuttons o n theremote are
pressed, the remote's display screen will show the
stepsin themacroastheyareprogrammed
(Figure 53).

button pressed, f ollowed bytheTVPower On,
followed bythe CableBoxOn,followed bythe

will blinkfourtimesinthelowerlineof the LCD
display. Whenthe display returns to normal, t he
macrohasbeenentered andthe remote is ready
foroperation.
11. If a macrohasbeenprogrammed i ntothePower
On Button _,
it will playbackanytime the
Power Onbuttonis pressed. Asthe macroplays,
youwillseethe stepsappear i nthe remote's LCD
display. Macros programmed i ntooneof thefour
discrete Macrobuttons maybe activated a t any
timeby pressing theappropriate b utton.
Erasinga Macro
Oncea macrohasbeencreated andstoredinthe
AVRremote's memory, you havetheopl_on of
erasing it.Youmaydo thisatanytimeby following
thesesteps:
1. Press andholdthe ProgramButton _
for
aboutthreeseconds whilethe message shown
inFigure 24 appears inthe remote's LOD
InformationDisplay_.
Release t he button
whenthe redlightunderthe Set Button
appears.
2.Theremote's M6IH MEHUmessage (Fig.25),
willappear i nthe LCDdisplay andtheSet Button
will remain illuminated i n red.Pressthe•
