  • Page 15 Set Up CURTAIN INSTALLATION CAUTION: Failure to install the curtains will prevent proper operation of the machine. Labels on the front of the machine indicate the curtain locations. Hang the curtains on hooks located on the sides of the hood. Make sure the curtain short flaps face the load end of the machine.

    Operation OPERATION SUMMARY Power up Procedure: 1. Touch the Green Power button. The drain valves close and the dishwasher begins the automatic fill. The display screen illuminates and "FILLING" appears in the status bar. 2. The incoming wash temperature displays in the Wash box. The final rinse temperature displays in the Final Rinse box during the final rinse, the final rinse temperature display is blank at all other times.

    Operation INITIAL FILL— With doors closed, the machine automatically fills when powered up Push the Green Power button. The display illuminates and "Filling" appears in the status bar. The wash temperature displays. Final rinse temperature displays, and a spray icon, appears while machine fills.
  • Page 19 Operation WASH — Machine is ready to wash when "READY" appears in the status bar and the green start button appears, Fig.17. Wait until the wash temperature reaches 160ºF/71ºC. Press the green start button. It changes to a red stop button and the DWELL button appears, Fig.18.
  • Page 20 Operation DWELL — Heavily soiled wares may require more cleaning time in the wash zone. This is accomplished by pressing the DWELL button BEFORE inserting a rack. Press the gray DWELL button, Fig. 20a. The DWELL button turns green, Fig. 20b. Fig.

Dishwashers with a Champion built-in detergent system will get a "CHECK DET" button on the display. Press the button to recharge the system. If this does not fix the issue then "CHECK DETERGENT"...

    Cleaning CLEANING PUMP SUCTION STRAINER — The wash pump suction strainer is located on the side of the tank the prewash strainer at the bottom. CAUTION: A clogged strainer reduces spray arm pressure and significantly reduces wash performance. The Wash tank strainer has a handle at the top and a strainer on the bottom. Pull the handle straight up to remove.
  • Page 35 Cleaning CLEANING FLOAT SWITCHES AND PROBES — The float switches and probes are mounted in the tank sides. Wipe the float switches and probes with a soft cloth and mild detergent to remove food soils and lime build-up. Gently move the float switches to ensure they move freely, Fig.

    Cleaning MACHINE EXTERIOR — CAUTION: Never hose the exterior of the machine with water. Never scrub the machine with a ferrous scrub pad. Flush curtains with fresh water and place outside the machine to air dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Leave machine doors open to aid in overnight drying.

    Maintenance BASIC MAINTENANCE — Monthly 1. Inspect all water lines for leaks and tighten if required. 2. Clean detergent residue from the exterior of the machine. 3. Make sure drain screens are clean. 4. Clean accumulated scale from the heating elements with a non-abrasive pad. 5.
