12.3.1 Target Settings

Use the Target Settings fields of the screen to enable and configure the zone limit ranges for:

Definition
When enabled, this activates the Process Outside Limit (Digital Output 6)
signal when one or more of the process variables goes out of specification
limits. This output is found in the I/O settings screen.
With the Critical check box enabled, this sets the action for the heats when a
process variable goes out of specification. This parameter is only shown when
the controller is configured with heats.
With the Critical check box enabled, this sets the action for the servos when a
process variable goes out of specification. This parameter is only shown when
the controller is configured with UltraSync-E and/or Mold Servo Control.
Sets the amount of time the controller waits while At-Temperature before the
system starts a check of the specification limits.
Sets the number of cycles in Engaged mode that the controller must
complete before the system starts a check of the specification limits.
This is illuminated when the system does the Limit Check operation of the
heats and servos.
Touch this button to select the process variable groups you want to see on
the process Limits screen.

On the process Limits screen, touch to highlight one or more zones you want to set.
NOTE:
If you select more than one zone, select them by the same category (Current,
Power, Temperature, or Voltage) if they are to be in the same limits.
Touch the Lower Limit field, enter the setting for the category measurement (amps,
percentage, degrees, or volts), and then touch the Accept button.
Touch the Upper Limit field, enter the setting for the category measurement (amps,
percentage, degrees, or volts) and then touch the Accept button.
Touch the Threshold field and enter the number of times that a value must be outside
of the lower and upper limit before Out of Specification Action starts.
Touch the Accept button.
To enable the Target Settings, touch the Use Limits field and select Yes.
