CHAPTER 7– SERVICE AND REPAIR
Display Subassembly Replacement
Removal:
1. Disconnect the display cable from the Main Board by pressing the tab to release.
2. Remove the 8 mounting screws from the mounting bracket while supporting the display
subassembly. Fig 7.4
3. Carefully remove the display subassembly and mounting bracket.
4. Do not remove the plastic shields. If they happen to come off reassemble when replacing the
bracktets and display. These are glass protectors.
Removal continued:
5. Remove the 4 side screws that secure the display subassembly to the mounting bracket.
6. Remove the display assembly from the mounting bracket. Fig. 7.5
7. If the display is not being replace immediately, reinstall the mounting brackets. Fig. 7.6
